<h2>Smart Selections</h2>
<p>We <a href="//blog.photopea.com/photopea-3-2-advanced-selecting.html">introduced a Quick Selectin</a> tool almost two years ago. However, it was quite slow, and selections were not perfect. We were looking for a new method to perform smart selections.</p>
<p>We built a new method, which has amazing results. It requires some pixels to be marked as a foreground and some as a background. First, it analyzes the image (it can analyze 4,000,000 pixels per second). Then, it deduces the foreground / background according to the marked pixels.</p>
<p>Now, <b>Quick Selection</b> tool uses the new method. Your painting defines the forground, a top left and a top right pixels are marked as a background. It often gives the right result with <b>one click</b>.</p>

<h2>Object Selection Tool</h2>
<p>Recently, <a href="//twitter.com/Photoshop/status/1189164719787036672">Adobe announced</a> a new <b>Object Selection</b> tool in Adobe Photoshop. Our method lets us provide a tool with the same user interface (drawing a rectangle over the image). We just mark the area outside the rectangle as a Background, and a small cross in the middle as a Foreground.</p>
<p>Adobe did not release the feature yet. But it would be very interesting to compare them side-by-side. Photopea is probably the only program offering these two tools for free.</p>
